When you ask people what they are most excited about this Thanksgiving, they will probably say food. I totally agree! But have you put much thought about what you’ll be sipping on this year?
It’s a time of celebration and most importantly, a time to be with family. Being around family is so exciting, because I know what’s to come. You know, the good laughs, smiles, hugs, and just all around an amazing time. We reflect on what we are thankful for and usually it’s each other. The atmosphere is perfect for a good drink or two.
We are lucky enough that most of our family is off of work for a couple of days. Therefore, we are able to enjoy the holidays. This Thanksgiving Sangria is perfect for Thanksgiving Day or any day, honestly. It’s got some fresh fruit, juices, and WINE. Hello, somebody!
Check out the recipe!
- 1 750 ml Red Wine
- 1/2 cup Triple Sec
- 3 cups apple cider or apple juice
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1 cup red and green apples diced
- cinnamon sticks for garnishment
Combine all the ingredients into a large pitcher.
Stir so that the honey does not stick to the bottom.
Place into the fridge for an hour before serving so that the Sangria is served cold and the flavors have time to come together.
Before serving, make sure to stir again and pour into a glass. Then, top off with some of the fruits and cinnamon stick for garnishment. Enjoy!
